Why your mindset, attitude, and thoughts are so important...

• A lot of us already know that your attitude towards something is everything. And if you don't know that, well now you do. But, have we ever stopped, and taken the time to think about where our heads are at right now. Yeah, we notice that our attitudes and thoughts change frequently throughout the day. 840 times to be exact (google check that), but most of the day we are simply reacting to whatever life is throwing at us.
  
• We are reacting to the events that are taking place in our lives and that is what our thoughts, feelings, attitudes towards something fluctuates throughout the day. I'm talking about reflecting on yourself, and where your head is at right now. Seriously ask yourself, where am I in my life right now in terms of my emotional state? What is that task, person, conversation, what is really important that needs to be addressed now in order for you to improve not only your life, but your emotional state, and possibly even the people around you and the current situation you’re in? ​


• So, what are some ways to get your mind right for the day? ​

• Not financial, career, relationship wise, i'm talking only internally right now. Taking the time to think in the current moment is so important in today's world. There are countless things that are beyond distracting to us, that truly take us off course. If we could stop and think to reflect on ourselves at least just once a day for a set period of time, this will already put you ahead than everyone else because no one is doing this. If you strive to accomplish all you need to get done that day, and your mind is scattered, flustered, all over the place, you're either not going to get to it, or you are not going to do what you need properly. It will be incomplete, insufficient, or not good enough. 
• Step one is thinking. Nothing else but thinking. It’s also a good habit to write down what you are thinking. There is this concept that by only keeping your thoughts just thoughts, they almost feel like they are trapped in your head. But when you turn those thoughts into written words, and put them down on paper, there is this freeing sensation, that these thoughts are now words and they are released into the world and not trapped in your head anymore. Some call it journaling. Sounds ridiculous, but it’s actually true and is one of my favorite techniques when i am constantly thinking about something. This works with anything too, relationships, career, whatever is bothering you at the moment. But seriously, take the time to write it down, it will make a difference. It can also help you come up with solutions for something you are overthinking or worrying about . By writing it down it helps you reflect on what exactly is bothering you because you have to turn these thoughts into words and sentences that make sense. Only good results will come from taking the time to write things down. Our goal here is to simply clear your mind off anything distracting. Releasing your thoughts into the world by putting them on paper.  
• So Why is getting your mind right so important? Because your mind is so powerful. It can either be the start of something great or your downfall. Do you want to accomplish anything in life? You want to go do something great, you want to go to Australia and travel all over the world? You want to date that person, or buy a new car? Guess what...all of these decisions start with your mind. Every single one. You are the ultimate decider of your mind, your life, and more importantly your attitude on life. You’re in complete control, so if we can understand that we are the ones in complete control of our minds, and our thoughts and attitude, we can realize that YOU and only yourself are in complete control of your life. 
• Believe it or not, you are the only one in control of dealing with your thoughts. 
• You have control over your thoughts, but at times we may not. Sometimes, we just catch ourselves thinking or even day dreaming. What we can control all of the time is how we deal with our thoughts. Do you ever have an event happen to you, something like this: let’s say you meet someone who you are attracted too, and then you start playing this fairytale story in your head like ohh, they smiled at me what if we start dating, and then we travel the world together because she likes to travel, and then i propose to her in Italy or Bali, and then we get married and live happily ever after. Or, we meet someone high up at work and you play this story in your head that you are going to start getting invited to exec meetings, and soon you will be running the company while pulling up in your brand new Range Rover. Or, your significant other did not respond right away and you know they are out with friends and now you start over thinking and playing this story in your head that they are cheating on you in the bathroom of the bar when in reality they are stuffing their face with chicken wings and mozzarella sticks and their hands are too greasy to touch their phone. We all have done this, and continue to do it all the time. Sometimes we may not be able to control our thoughts, but we can control how we react to our thoughts. This means that we are the ones ultimately in control of our thoughts. Rather than playing this ridiculous story in our heads that will never come true, let's not assume anything. Lets especially not assume the words, and rather positive affirmations. We need to realize that we are in complete control of our thoughts. We can CHOOSE not to react to life and pick and choose what we think about. Are you serious?? Yes, but it’s difficult to do. Start today, start right now and simply only think about positive things. When something negative pops up in your head, or you start to overthink something, catch yourself (great first step), realize that you're overthinking and then choose to think of something positive. This actually works, for I have done it myself and practice it daily. It will truly make a difference in the way you act and feel, because oftentimes, we overreact or react to whatever it is we are thinking in our heads that is completely ridiculous or not even true. We play this story in our head, and then react based off our emotions on a story that we created only in our head that is not even remotely close to the truth instead. This also correlates with the idea, that it is never good to assume, so if you want more clarity ask questions. It will only make your life easier.
